ISBN and pagination
A unique ISBN for the volume and continuous per-paper pagination, so every contributor can cite their chapter properly with page ranges.
Conference volumes, edited books and multi-contributor compilations — produced to a fixed date, with ISBN, per-paper pagination and a certificate for every contributor.
Everybody who has produced a seminar volume knows the shape of it. The call for papers goes out in good time. Two-thirds of the submissions arrive in the last week. Three come in on the morning of the conference. Half are in inconsistent formats, one is a scanned PDF, and somebody's Devanagari has broken in transit.
Meanwhile the date does not move. The Vice-Chancellor is releasing the volume at the valedictory session, and it needs to physically exist by then.
We plan proceedings backwards from that date, with a cut-off you can enforce because it came from your printer rather than from you. Late papers go into a supplementary section rather than derailing the whole schedule.
| Day 0 | Brief agreed, schedule fixed, ISBN applied for |
| Day 45 | Hard cut-off for papers and contributor consents |
| Day 60 | Typeset proof to the convener |
| Day 70 | Corrections in, final sign-off |
| Day 85 | Printed copies delivered |
| Day 90 | Release at the valedictory session |
Shorter schedules are possible. Tell us the date and we'll tell you honestly whether it can be done.
Contributors need the volume to be citable and to show up on their academic record. These are the details that decide whether it does.
A unique ISBN for the volume and continuous per-paper pagination, so every contributor can cite their chapter properly with page ranges.
A chapter publication certificate issued to each contributing author, naming the volume, the ISBN and their paper — for appraisal files and API scores.
Papers arrive in every conceivable state. We bring them to one typographic standard, fix broken Devanagari, and set references consistently across the volume.
Title page, imprint page, foreword, convener's note, editorial board listing, table of contents and contributor index — assembled properly rather than improvised.
Proper invoices with GST documentation, made out to the university, college or organising body, in a form your accounts section will accept.
Printed copies for the dais and the delegates, plus a digital edition for circulation to contributors and for the departmental record.
You don't need to convene a conference to appear in an edited volume. We run themed multi-contributor books that individual scholars can submit a chapter to — useful when you need a book chapter on record and don't have a full monograph in you this year.
Each contributor receives a publication certificate naming the volume, the ISBN and their chapter, and a copy of the finished book.
If you are assembling a multi-contributor volume, you need written consent from every contributor before it goes to print — confirming their paper is their own work, that anything quoted or reproduced has been cleared, and that they agree to publication in your volume.
This is the single most common thing that goes wrong with edited books, and it goes wrong months later when someone objects. We'll send you a contributor consent form to circulate with your call for papers, so the consents come in with the submissions rather than being chased afterwards.
Send us five things and we'll come back with a schedule and a quote:
Conference work is time-critical and email is slow. For a volume with a fixed date, call us.

Whether you're convening a national seminar or contributing a single chapter, the production standard is the same.
