This book is divided into two parts.
Part-I comprises of six chapters. Each chapter starts with a discussion about syntax of Linux command, at the middle level, the detailed explanation of Linux command is given and at the end example(s) are given. The Part-I includes basic Linux Commands, File System, File handling Linux Commands, Creation of Users and Group in Linux, File permission commands and How to handle processes in Linux. The first chapter of this book has focused on the basics of shell commands with its execution step by step. In the second chapter, you will be able to play with the Linux files system and partitioning. Then you will be getting quick start documentation on initial setup, login, password, GUI, Command Line Interface, files management, and necessary useful Linux command. The fourth chapter will allow you to learn about various processing tasks related to users and groups with to set permissions. In the fifth chapter will allow to learn the how to set the permissions of files with the commands. In the sixth chapter will allow learning process in Linux like how to find the process, signals of the process, display information of process etc.
The Part-II contains 207 Shell Scripts ranging from one line command to file handling with sample input and output. The soft copy of Linux shell scripts is provided to learner in CD along with this book which makes it easier to learn.
Towards the end of the book, you will be able to create and execute processes efficiently you can also find sample codes with every basic concept that is used in Linux and can build up the basic knowledge of Linux Command with step by step execution with screenshot.
